Nurture
At St Leo’s and Southmead we nurture each child to grow and develop a deeper understanding of the Catholic faith. We encourage respect for religious and moral values, acceptance of other races and religions and foster the development of each child’s potential.
The children will develop an awareness of God’s presence in their lives and the lives of others through prayer and reflection.
We prepare the children and their parents with the knowledge, understanding and appreciation of the Sacraments.
Inspire
By upholding the school ethos, of a small school with a big heart, we create an environment where every child knows that they are special and cherished. Their individual talents and contributions to the school community are positively valued and recognised.
Through their faith journey, they will be able to make links between Jesus’ life and teaching and their own lives, recognising different forms of Christian action.
Succeed
The children leave St Leo’s and Southmead Catholic Primary School with a wide range of happy and rich memories in RE, formed through interesting and exciting experiences driven through an engaging and comprehensive curriculum, enabling them to develop a living and personal faith in Jesus Christ and allowing them to know and love God.
The Children will live their faith in an active and positive way, always aware of the presence and love of Christ guiding them.
